Last opportunity to spend some time in Brisbane City, so we jumped on a train at Ferny Grove this morning and headed into town. Saw some fantastic old colonial architecture as well as playing Mhairi's favourite game -"Hunt the Sculpture" - which involves walking in circles looking for sculptures that usually turn out not to exist! Managed to split lunch over two different locations and took in a walk around Eagle street pier, a very upmarket cafe and restaurant area by the river.
We had dinner with my cousins family tonight as a "Bon Voyage" and tomorrow we're on a 1200 (0200 UK) flight to Townsville so look out for our first blog entry from there.
